Description
Planted in 1996 on the fertile alluvial soil of the Wollombi Brook, the Hunter Valley 2016 Shiraz produced a fantastic classic Hunter Valley red and was recognised as among the best in the region. The vines responded well to Max’s viticultural expertise and produced a small, yet impressive yield in 2016.
Spicy Christmas cake and wild raspberry aromas lead to a sweet fruit palate while finely balanced tannins show off the benefits of whole bunch fermentation and careful fruit handling. This is a medium-bodied red, distinctively new style Hunter Shiraz and the perfect partner to a meal.
Match with Mediterranean foods and a range of meat dishes or just drink to enjoy on it’s own.
